Daniel Low is a partner with Kotchen & Low LLP. His main practice areas include complex commercial litigation, counseling, and government agency representation. Mr. Low has assumed leadership roles in a number of matters in private practice and as a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice.

In private practice, Mr. Low has participated in a number of complex commercial litigation matters (involving both class and individual claims) in the areas of antitrust, fraud, consumer protection, Lanham Act, business tort, and breach of contract. For instance, Mr. Low has successfully represented Fortune 500 companies in defeating class claims, in prosecuting antitrust and Lanham Act claims, and in defending antitrust and consumer protection claims. In addition, Mr. Low has developed a particular expertise and interest in legal issues in the consumer goods and retail industry through his involvement in representing an in-store advertising company (that contracts with retailers and consumer goods companies) in a business tort action and through his involvement in securing a multi-million dollar judgment against a large retailer in a breach of contract matter. As a result of this interest, Mr. Low created the Consumer Goods and Retail Industry Litigation Blog to keep stakeholders apprised of legal developments in the industry.

As a trial attorney with the United States Department of Justice, Mr. Low investigated and litigated matters involving alleged violations by government agencies of the United States Constitution.

Mr. Low clerked for Chief Judge Tacha of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and for the Supreme Court of Guam.

Mr. Low attended Yale Law School, where he served as an editor of the Yale Law Journal. He also received a bachelor's degree with highest honors from the University of California at Berkeley. Between college and law school, Mr. Low lectured at Chiang Mai University in Northern Thailand, where he published a book on business correspondence and attained fluency in Thai.

Mr. Low was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas and is an avid fan of Kansas Jayhawk basketball.
